It is made from a soft flannel and the dress part is lined and quilted.
It was beautifully and lovingly made and looks as though it has hardly been worn. I actually bought it in hopes that my next would be a girl (ah, I'm so bad!) but he's going to be a boy and I would just love to see this on some cute little girl.
